How do I get rid AVG.Secure Search, which Google Chrome uses as my
default browser? I want a different browser, preferably IE 9 or even the
yucky AOL. AVG doesn't work very well. Or is AVG Chrome's default
browser. If so, how do I change the default browser setting on Chromes.

AVG secure search is bundled with other programs normally.
Open chrome and click on the 3 lines on the top right corner or the wrench icon.
Then click on settings in the list.
Under on start up choose use new tab page.
Under search click on manage search engines and remove avg.
Then choose Google from the box next to it.
Next download and run the AVG toolbar remover tool here: Click Here
Next we can do the same setting sin internet explorer and change it to be the default.
Press the Windows logo key and R at the same time on your keyboard.
Type inetcpl.cpl and click OK.
Click the Programs tab.
Click the Manage add-ons button.
Select the Search Providers on the left side.
Remove AVG here and then choose Google as the default.
Now go to Google or whichever page you want as the home page in internet explorer.
Right click the “home” icon in upper-right corner of the window.
Select Add or change home page in the menu.
Then, select the Use this web page as your only home page option and confirm your choice.
