HTC Desire Cannot Access Kindle Books

I have registered my HTC desire s phone to my amazon.com kindle account but can't access books etc on the phone . Why? downloaded the kindle apps to the phone. Says it's registered but no books etc there.

Ok you need to first download the books onto the phone from your archive.
To download items from your Kindle library to Kindle for Android:

1. Open the Kindle for Android application and select Archive.
2. Tap on any book to download and begin reading.

You can also send Kindle content remotely to your Kindle for Android application from your PC by following these steps:

1. Visit the Manage Your Kindle page.
2. Locate the title you wish to download in your Kindle Library.
3. Click the Actions button and choose "Deliver to my" from the drop down menu.
4. A pop up box appears. Select the Kindle for Android app.
5. A confirmation message appears above the title on the Your Kindle Library page.

If your device is connected to a network, your book will download and appear on the Kindle Home screen the next time you open Kindle for Android.
