I have the os operating system, installing the canon MX860 fails. Is there something I need to download in order to install this printer unplugged everything and restarted the Mac. The installation says os is not supported and may not complete. It only gets to the drivers, and fails
What version of mac os are you using?

10.6.8
Go to this page: Click Here
Scroll down and click on drivers and software.
Then click on select os and choose mac os x 10.6.
Under drivers download and install the one that says CUPS and the one that says scanner.
Then under software download and install the one that says MP navigator 2.1 (not 2.1.3).
