Canon Pixma How To Remove Ink Cartridges
I have a Canon Pixma the children gave me. I sent for Pixma 210 black ink and Pixma 210 XL. I need help: How to I remove the old ink cartridge and replace it with a new one? Thank you for your help.
Look at the printer so you are facing the control panel. Then left the top of the machine from underneath the control panel (sometimes it is a little underneath that as well as the scanner can sometimes be below the control panel if it is lift from below that). It will open to the cartridge access area and the cartridges will move over to you. Lift the tab on top of the cartridge in the cradle you will need to push it in slightly while lifting the tab. Remove the old cartridge and then take any tape of the new cartridge and put it in. Close the tab on top of the cartridge and then lift the top of the machine a little bit and push in the stick that propped up the top. Let go and it will close by itself.
Scan Multiple Pictures Each Saved As a Separate File.
I want to scan multiple pictures with each of them being saved as a separate file. How do I set the printer to accomplish that task. Thanks Larry Russell

I am using Windows 7. Yes, I want to scan them all at once and save them separately so I don't have to scan them one at a time.
Unfortunately you can't do that with pictures. With documents you could but the problem with pictures is you need to use the adf to scan all at once and have them come out separate. Scanning a picture in the adf would bend it and ruin it, not to mention it would scan the crease as well. If you were to place them all on the glass the scanner would see it all as one image. Unfortunately with pictures unless they are on regular paper and not photo paper would need to be scanned one at a time to come out without creases and without being bent.

Pavilion G7 Keyboard Locking Up
the keyboard on my Pavilion G7 has started locking up...doesn't recognize standard keys. When typing, appears 'hot keys' are invoked. Get message (from Outlook) 'It appears the CTRL key is held down, do you want to start in safe mode'. Have to reboot computer to be able to type again.
Can you explain what you mean by hot keys and in what program this happens (or if it is all programs)?
the computer thinks the CTRL key is being held down. There are several threads to the same issue in Google, but not a consistent resolution. The problem is not specific to an application that I can detect. I will be working in word, excel, chatting in IM, etc. when suddenly my keyboard will stop recognizing key strokes. All key strokes react as of the CTRL is held down, which is not. My keyboard is clean. Running Windows 7 professional 64bit. Problem just started within last 2 weeks; intermittent and the only way to 'clear' it is to reboot.
The button can actually get stuck down underneath the key itself. It may be stuck down even without anything touching it because it is stuck under the key. Turn your machine off, unplug it, and then remove the battery.
To check that remove the CTRL key from the keyboard. You would need to push the keys above and below it all the way down and get your finger under the key. Then it should come off easily. Be carefully not to break the small metal pieces as they hold the key down into place. The button itself is in the middle. Make sure there is no dust, hair or anything else stuck around it.

Trouble Sending Photo's From Photo Gallery
I have windows 7 and the current version of windows live mail. I'm having trouble attaching and sending photo's from the photo gallery. The current version never gave me any problems. Is this an ongoing problem with the current version of windows live mail and is there an update available?
What happens when you try to?
I go to the photo gallery and select a picture. I hit the email option and click on attachment so i can pick the size, usually staying on the medium tag. Windows live email comes up looks good, you can see there's an attachment and I fill in my comments and send. Delivery failure every time.
What is the exact delivery error including any numbers?
The delivery failure notification in the last case - but they all fail.

Don't send any pictures just text and email anyone, using windows live mail and let me know if you get the same error.
I can send test emails and I can attach word and exel doc's. It's the picture part that has never worked.
Ok the error you are getting normally means it is having a problem connecting. Please try attaching the photos in the email from the pictures folder on your computer the way you would an excel document and see if the same thing happens.

Did you embed the image or send it as an attachment?
Open the one with the frame is there something you can click that says show images?
I sent it as an attachment. when i click on it my options are set as desk top back ground, rotate it etc.
That's strange as an attachment in the email you received you should have to click on a paper clip to open the picture. Please open that message again and see if there is a paper clip you can click on to open the image.
In Gmail it's click on view or download. I have tried to send the picture in the body of the email also with out luck. I have no problem sending pics with Gmail, and I never had any problems with the previous version of window live mail. Should i be contacting micro soft and getting another download of the program. This one came installed on my new lap top?
If it is the one that came installed you may be using windows mail and not windows live mail. Make sure you are using the latest version by downloading and installing it from here: Click Here
The icon on my desk top say's window live mail. If i download another one now will it copy over the existing one or does it create another one.

Try opening it in both safari and Firefox for me. Look at the bottom is there anything that says loading, done, or anything else? Leave it for a while does the page ever change to something like server not found?

This normally happens from corrupted cookies or cached images.
In Firefox click on Firefox and then Preferences > Advanced > Network > Offline Storage (Cache): "Clear Now.
After that click on Firefox and then Preferences; Privacy; Cookies: "Show Cookies.
Delete any cookies there for yahoo.
You would do the same for safari afterwards.
Click on safari and then click on empty cache.
When asked if your sure click on ok.
Click on safari and then preferences.
From security click on bookmarks.
Then click on the show cookies button.
Click on each yahoo cookie and then click on remove.
Then click on done.

Lenovo Screen Color Off
The color on my computer is not right. It has been this way for a long time and now I want to try to correct it. For example, the lenovo screen is either red or blue with red sparkles. When I use email the screen is okay.

Squeeze the bottom corners of the screen below the actual display but on the plastic part. Then see if the image gets better. The problem your having happens if the inverter is failing and needs to be replaced. It is a small chip behind the plastic at the bottom of the screen. Sometimes it gets loose and squeezing it like that will fix it. When it doesn't that part needs to be replaced. The part itself is pretty cheap usually around $20 or less and any local technician would be able to either get you one or replace the part for you.

it didn't work. Around the first of September 2011, I inadvertently downloaded Google chrome, by attempting to load Google earth, because the Google earth execution icon disappeared from my desktop. I removed the Google chrome program from my pc. and some time after i noticed i wasn't able to open links in my email. as far as setting outlook as default, i don't know, i didn't get confirmation.

Ok thank you that makes sense. Chrome can actually leave behind registry entries that make email clients try and open hyperlinks in chrome rather than internet explorer even though chrome is no longer there. Try this and see if it helps.
Right click on this link and click on save as: Right click here Save it to your desktop. Then once it is saved double click on the icon on your desktop named chromehtml.reg. Windows will ask you if you want to allow it to make changes choose yes. Now restart your computer.

No Signal On Monitor
I have an old HP monitor, flat screen, I can't locate the disk required to operate the device. It is a HP w1907 flat screen that I purchased about 8-9 year ago. Plugged in in and it comes on for about 2 seconds and I think the screen says, "no signal".

You actually should not need the disk the drivers would load automatically. The no signal error means there is a hardware problem. Connect it to a different computer and see if it does the same thing. If it does try changing the cable connecting it to the computer.
If it worked properly on the other computer it means the graphics card in your computer is failing and needs to be replaced. If it did not work on the other computer even after changing the cable it normally means the main board in the monitor is failing and needs to be replaced.
If you do not have another computer or monitor to test with I suggest bringing the monitor to a local pc shop. A smaller local one as ask them if they can test it for you. Normally they will connect it to another computer for you and see if it turns on for free. (somewhere like best buy or staples most likely will not do this it would need to be a small shop).

You may have a failing cable wiggle the cable on each end where it is connected to the monitor and tower and see if the same thing happens. If it does replace the cable. If it doesn't then next would be to test the monitor. In order to do that you would need to either connect the monitor to a different computer or connect a different monitor to the tower. Either will work. If the same thing happens and you connected the monitor to another computer the inverter in the monitor is failing and needs to be replaced. If you connected a different monitor to your tower and the same thing happens it is a problem with the graphics card in the tower.

Erase Addresses On The Address Bar
